Food: "Stromboli"
I found this recipe in a magazine but instead of buying a pizza crust like it called for I accidentally got a pie crust instead. But it turned out so yummy that I continued making that mistake.
"Stromboli"
1 pie crust
1/4 c. spaghetti sauce
1 package frozen spinach, thawed w/all water squeezed out or 10 oz fresh spinach, wilted
1-2 chicken breasts, cooked & cut into bite-size pieces
1 c. cheese
1 T. milk
fresh parmesan
375 degrees. Unroll the pie crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread the sauce over the crust, leaving the outer 1/2" dry. Arrange the spinach down the middle of the crust, then layer the chicken pieces over it, topping with the cheese. Cut strips down each side & fold over each other (see pic). Brush w/milk & grate parmesan over the top. Bake 12-15m.
Magazine Review: Lucky June 2010 - Katy Perry

This issue can be summed up with one word: boring. I got all the way to the end of the Beauty section before making a single note. The most interesting thing in the issue was an H&M ad for bikini tops for $4.95 (wish I had an H&M nearby). I also saw that they had an etsy.com product in one of their pictorials. Glad that site is becoming more popular & legit.
The only articles that stood out at all were 12 Rules for Clear Skin, which mentioned things like taking birth control pills, etc & the Summer Weekend Style Guide, with pieces for country, beach & city looks.
Save your money. Not enough fresh content to make this worth the newstand price
Magazine Review: Harper's Bazaar May 2010 - Gwyneth Paltrow
For some reason this issue hit newstands *much* later than usual.
Overall this is a very good issue. Apparently May really is naked month because Bazaar had a few celebs (Kim K, Joy Bryant, etc) naked too (and apparently unretouched).
My favorite part of Bazaar is the fashion-related articles & this month I def wasn't disappointed. Topics included curvy models on the catwalk, Rules of Summer (printed dresses, leather shorts, stripes, etc), Chic in the Heat, How to wear the denim trends & 4 pages of packing tips. They also had a makeover of the Jersey Shore girls.
The Beauty section was boring as usual.
But overall, I think this issue is worth getting.

Product Review: Revlon Peach Petal & Coral Reef lipglosses
I'm considering getting Pink Pop as well but I already have so many pink lipglosses that I haven't taken the plunge yet.
One of my favorite makeup looks
Obviously, the pic above isn't me. It's Marlena from MakeupGeek ( link http://www.makeupgeek.com/tutorials/back-to-school-makeup-fun-and-flirty/ ) but her pic is much better than anything I would be able to take.
I love using a bright eyeshadow as a liner. It's something I do quite often. It's pretty much the only way I use bright eyeshadow unless I'm doing a bold wash (but recently I haven't been loving that look).
I just did this yesterday using my new Fyrinnae shadows (will post a review soon). I used Titania (light pink) as a wash, then Cheshire Cat Grin (shimmery royal blue) as a liner. I didn't do any contouring (as is shown in Marlena's pic), just layered the blue over a bit of black liner to add definition.
